Walker’s Aides Sent A Series Of Racist Emails. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “Even while arguing for racial outreach from his party, Gov. - Walker Aide Called An Email Comparing Welfare Recipients To Dogs “Hilarious.” According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “In April 2010, Walker’s former deputy chief of staff Kelly Rindfleisch received an emailed joke from a friend about someone whose dogs supposedly qualified for welfare because they are ‘mixed in color, unemployed, lazy, can’t speak English and have no frigging clue who their Daddys are.’ Rindfleisch wrote back: ‘That is hilarious. - Walker’s Chief Of Staff Aide Sent An Email About A Nightmare Where He Is A Black, Jewish, Gay, Disabled Man. According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “In another email, sent in July 2010, Thomas Nardelli, Walker’s chief of staff for Walker at Milwaukee County, forwarded Rindfleisch and others a joke about someone who has a nightmare about turning into a black, Jewish, disabled gay man who is unemployed. ‘Oh God, please don’t tell me I’m a Democrat,’ the email concludes.” [Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 2/20/14]
Walker’s Deputy Chief Of Staff Rindfleisch Said That “No One Cares About Crazy People.” According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, “Rindfleisch seemed unconcerned the mental health controversies would hurt Walker’s chances with voters in the governor’s race. In a Sept. 1, 2010, email she said she expected Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to make the issue ‘the center of his campaign’ for governor against Walker. She agreed with Joan Hansen — then a county official and later a deputy secretary for the state Department of Children and Families — that Barrett would lose. ‘Yep,’ Rindfleisch replied. ‘No one cares about crazy people.’” [Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 2/21/14]
David Wildstein Mocked Children Trapped On School Bus As Children Of Buono Voters. According to the New York Times, “Later text messages mocked concerns that school buses filled with students were stuck in gridlock: ‘They are the children of Buono voters,’ Mr. Wildstein wrote, referring to Mr. Christie’s opponent Barbara Buono.” [New York Times, 1/8/14]
David Wildstein Referred To The Mayor Of Fort Lee As “This Little Serbian.” According to an email from September 18, 2013 David Wildstein told Bill Stepien, “I had empty boxes ready to take to work today, just in case. It will be a tough November for this little Serbian.” [Email, 9/18/13]
Christie Spokesperson Used Expletives In Emails When Discussing Press. According to the Star-Ledger, “Christie’s longtime press secretary Michael Drewniak routinely channels his boss’s invective. E-mails included in the documents released Friday show he’s just as indelicate when referring to the press. Discussing a request for a comment from a reporter, Drewniak wrote, ‘(Expletive) him and the (Star-Ledger).’ Drewniak, a former Star-Ledger reporter, called a different reporter ‘a (expletive) mutt.’” [Star-Ledger, 1/12/14]
